I really wanted to love this place because I felt like it was a picture of my soul. It had VW van, with books, cute patio, great selection of teas and baked goods coming straight out of the oven. However it get a lower rating only because the hubs felt the bowl was very basic. I did tell him it’s healthy. I liked my sandwich because the bacon was absolutely crispy just like I love it! I think you should definitely give it a try.
My husband and I visited Harriet & Oak about a month ago! It has the best atmosphere out of all the coffee shops we visited in Rapid City. I think that they have the most creative drinks I've ever seen in a coffee shop! We both thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. Their espresso was very good! There was plenty of indoor seating and I love all of the natural light. I would spend a lot of time here if I live locally! I would also like to say that we received our drinks in what I thought was a timely manner, and I appreciated the barista's patience with us as we decided what we would like to drink! Service 5/5!!
The maple latte was simply lacking. Sitting in the loft area, we could see the barista didn’t even attempt at latte art on any drinks, and doesn’t even steam the milk by hand. The breakfast sandwich was decent, but the bacon didn’t seem fresh, more of a pre cooked bacon type. The fresh pop tart pastry was the best thing we had, and I would definitely recommend it! The atmosphere was great, and seems like a good place to grab a light breakfast with friends. Personally, the coffee at Essence of Coffee is much better.
This is a place that has made the absolute most of their coffee shop kitchen. The food was great. There was a long line but it moved and the food came out so quick it beat our coffee! If I lived in rapid, I’d be here all the time!
Also, they have a very adorable Wi-Fi password. Worth finding out!
Love this coffee shop! My lady grey fog was great as was the breakfast bowl. Really sweet staff and the interior is adorable.
This coffee shop has a VW bus you can sit in and sip the Joe and work on your laptop gaming or inter-office personal skills. ... "zoom, zoom, zoom killed the snow-day"- Emily. Nice single origin drip. Tasty treats and breakfast staples. Home made pop tarts. This place is a home-run with a print shop next door for all you consultant types.
First time here, highly recommended by our Air B & B hosts. The food was amazing, but the barista on duty this morning needs to learn to be polite to the customers. The man who took our order charged us for a large coffee but the way the order was given to the barista, it was made as a medium. My husband went to the counter and explained the issue to the barista (thin, with braids and glasses) and she made him a new drink. He was very polite and thanked her, and she was beyond rude. She never acknowledged him; she completely ignored him… didn’t reply, didn’t even look at him. We were loving this place - until your staff treated my husband rudely. We will spend our time and money at other places where all staff are courteous, and make their patrons feel valued. It only takes one rude employee to ruin what your other staff excelled at. Sad and disappointing.
Very good food and coffee. The atmosphere is very cool. Sort of a rustic industrial feel to the place. They have different coffee options than your standard shop. I had the maple brown sugar latte and my husband had the golden latte. They were both very good. The avocado toast was good, I'd recommend adding an egg or two. My husband had a breakfast bowl that was awesome.
